Lunch at Hodad's

Kris' cousin from New York came to visit, so what better way to welcome him than a burger from Hodad's? We went to their downtown location since Kris and I had to get some pants hemmed at Unsteady. I ordered the mini hamburger (first photo), which is really not mini at all.

Breakfast at Starling Diner

My long time friend, Joan, came over last night and we ended up getting breakfast at Starling Diner this morning. She ordered the Denver scramble and a cup of steamed milk with caramel. I got the Twice Baked Granola with yogurt, berries and a hot cup of chai latte. I didn't enjoy the granola since it didn't taste all that special, but this breakfast was still perfect. Good company is all you need, even though I felt like dozing off.

The Dieppa Restrepo Oxford in Seaweed Green

How amazing are these Dieppa Restrepo oxfords? I'm going crazy for the deep green suede, stitched leather sole, and stacked heel. The color though. Wow! These are definitely on my wishlist. via Gargyle.

Green Walls

Lately, I've been a little obsessed with indoor plants. I made a small terrarium a couple months ago with Spanish Moss, but sadly, its life is coming to an end. I suppose my green thumb has lots of practice to do, but when I finally get it down, I'm putting all my effort into making a green wall. The ones shown above are by Greenworks, a Swedish company that designs and produces green walls for interior environments. If you're looking for a more wallet-friendly alternative, Etsy stores, Ginkgo Studio and Seaside Garden, provide DIY kits to make your very own vertical box planter.

New Rachel Comey Oxfords

I've been wanting these shoes for nearly eight months now and I finally bit the bullet and purchased them. Besides the soft leather and subtle pink color of the embroidered flowers, what I love most about them are the ankle straps. I actually wasn't fond of them at first, but after putting them on, I found them to be perfect. It adds an interesting detail that makes them look and feel extra special. If anything, the straps are also detachable so I can take them off for a different look. The Mars boots and now this? I think I can say my heart officially belongs to Rachel Comey now.
